  • Renovation of existing athletic stadium complex including replacement of a synthetic turf field, bleachers and 8x8 lane resilient surface track.
  • AOLA was responsible for designing and monitoring construction on a new athletic complex after expansive soils that were found to have been installed during the original construction of the facility forced the District to close it for use.
  • Extensive soil investigation was conducted to document the location and extent of expansive soils to be removed and replaced.
  • The existing Astroturf field installed on an e-layer was removed, and a new sand/rubber infill turf was installed over a 10mm rubber pad.  Lines for all their sports teams were inlaid as well as a centerfield logo and end zone graphics.
  • New all-weather resilient 8x8 lane track with high end red float coat was installed.
  • The new track and field complex is complete with 1,500 seat home-side bleachers and 500 seat visitor bleachers which were designed to allow for plenty of storage space.
  • Provisions were made for future team rooms and an expanded press box.
  • A previously prepared Master Plan by AOLA and regular design development meetings proved useful in final construction documents that included decisions regarding turf lines, colors and logos, an adjustment to the track layout to accommodate track and field events and space for visitor bleachers.  A small amount of electrical work was also part of this project.
