Mansfield Park Moving Forward

A community park that Appel Osborne designed in Mansfield, Pennsylvania is scheduled for construction this summer. The park is made possible by the Mansfield Auxiliary Corporation (MAC), a public charity organization that provides support for the students, community, and mission of Mansfield University. The park will transform a vacant lot into a space that is designed to elevate the quality of life where students live, work, and engage as members of the community. Design was inspired by a wish list from students and the immediate community about what they desired in a new park.

The park design provides a creative and functional space that accommodates outdoor dining, gathering, and performances. The accessible, safe, dynamic, and flexible park will meet demands of daily and seasonal activities.
