"Field of Dreams" Project in DeWitt Moving Forward

The Willis V. Carrier Recreation Center is progressing with phase one of this exciting project estimated to be completed by this fall.  DeWitt town officials and supporters of the park have reached out to Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul to ask New York State for help with the cost for the project’s completion.  Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul visited the site and met with town officials to ask for her support.  The final design of the park includes six sports fields which can be used for baseball, lacrosse, soccer and other sports as needed, as well as a concession building, Gateway Building, and other activity areas.  The recreation center is designed to be an athletic complex capable of accommodating players of all ages with physical and/or developmental challenges.  The park will also be home to the Syracuse Challengers Little League Baseball Division.  Appel Osborne is privileged to be the prime designer for this project.  Read the article below for more information:
