Appel Osborne Announces Five Promotions

Appel Osborne is proud to announce five promotions within our firm!  Four Project Managers have been promoted to the position of Associate.  Please join us in congratulating:

Appel Osborne has been fortunate to experience significant growth and evolution over the past 40+ years.  Our firm now consists of 25 staff, 11 of which are Registered Landscape Architects.  Our firm has always operated as a synthesis of landscape architecture and site engineering.  This fundamental objective is applied to each of our firm’s site design challenges and opportunities.  It is our goal to provide total client satisfaction through site design solutions that are beautiful, functional, sustainable, and technically sound.  We are grateful for and proud of the relationships we have built over the years, and we remain determined to provide our clients with superior service and design.  We are excited to celebrate the new members of our leadership team and to see what the future holds for Appel Osborne.

Patrick joined the firm as a designer in 2005 upon graduating from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.  He earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree upon completion of the five-year program.  As a Project Manager, he has designed and managed projects for a wide variety of facilities including sports fields and athletic complexes, K-12 campuses, parks and recreation, and corporate campuses.  He earned his Registered Landscape Architect license in 2014 and he is dedicated to site design that exceeds our clients’ expectations.  When Patrick is not in the office, he and his wife, Emily, are busy having fun with their two sons, Finnegan and Connor.

Tim has been a part of the Appel Osborne team since 2005.  He joined the firm after graduating from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree.  He earned his New York State Landscape Architecture license in 2011.  As a Project Manager, he has designed and managed projects for K-12 campuses throughout New York State, improving their facilities through the design of pedestrian and vehicular circulation, outdoor athletic complexes, and outdoor learning areas.  In addition to his role as a landscape architect, Tim and his wife, Liz, are the proud parents of their young daughter, Evie, and son, Wes.

Taylor earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in 2007 and joined Appel Osborne as a designer upon graduation.  During his 11 years at Appel Osborne, Taylor has designed sites for a wide variety of clients including K-12 and higher education campuses, health care facilities, parks and recreation, and athletic facilities.  As a Project Manager, he has become a mentor to many of our designers.  He obtained his New York State Landscape Architecture license in 2014.  Outside of the office, Taylor and his wife, Susie, are kept very busy (and on their toes) by their two daughters, Lexi and Ellie, and their son, Gideon.

Brittany began at Appel Osborne in 2006 as an intern while she was a junior in high school and continued to work in this capacity throughout college as she earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.  She became a full-time designer upon graduation in 2010 and is currently a New York State licensed Project Manager.  In this position, she manages projects for a multitude of clients in the K-12, higher education, health care, and corporate markets.  Outside the office, Brittany is able to enjoy her love of softball as the Junior Varsity softball coach at West Genesee CSD.  Brittany and her husband, AOLA Designer, Alex Belding, are proud parents of their one-year-old daughter, Lindsey.

Jessica joined the firm in 2011 as Marketing Coordinator.  She graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.  At Appel Osborne, she is responsible for efforts to pursue projects through proposals and qualifications, as well as maintaining the firm’s website, social media, and marketing collateral.  She is actively involved the Upstate New York Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and will be the Chapter President for the 2018-19 year.  She passed her certification exam in January and is now a Certified Professional Services Marketer.  Outside the office, Jessica and her husband, Dan, are busy having fun with their one-year-old daughter, Harper.
