First Games to be Played on New SUNY Oswego Turf

Oswego State University will host its first games at their new Laker Turf Stadium on September 1, 2015.  Appel Osborne is so excited to see this project come to fruition.  The new stadium complex is complete with an NCAA compliant synthetic turf field with inlaid lines for men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer and field hockey, 10’x48’ press box with camera deck, 1,000 seat bleacher system, and full stadium lighting.  The men’s soccer team will play at 4:00 p.m. followed by field hockey at 7:00 p.m.  The games will be preceded by a Laker Turf Stadium kick-off ceremony in which College President Deborah Stanley will officially open the facility accompanied by Vice President for Student Affairs, Jerald Woolfolk, Director of Athletics, Sue Viscomi and SUNY Oswego alumnus and 1966 SUNYAC men’s soccer championship team member, Dan Scaia.
