Appel Osborne Celebrates Installation of 50th Synthetic Turf

It’s official!  Appel Osborne has hit the big 5-0 in completed synthetic turf fields!  Our firm specializes in outdoor athletic facility design, including synthetic turfs, and we are so excited to celebrate this major milestone.  Our first synthetic turf field was completed in 1994 at Rome Free Academy.  Twenty-two years later, we are proud to offer a portfolio that includes synthetic turf fields for community/municipal parks, K-12 and Higher Education Facilities.  Our staff works hard to be on the cutting-edge of the continuously changing synthetic turf arena, learning about advances in the design and maintenance of these fields, and we are proud to be considered an expert in the design of synthetic turf fields.  As such, we are the only Landscape Architecture firm in New York State certified by the Synthetic Turf Council as a Licensed Professional.  We have worked with many great teams throughout the years and thank them for contributing to the success of these projects.  With ten more turf fields currently in design and construction, we are looking forward to our next big milestone.  Below are some photos of the turf installation at Solvay Union Free School District, the 50^th turf being installed that was designed by our firm.
