Alden CSD Debuting New Unique Synthetic Turf Field

Homecoming weekend at Alden Central School District will have an extra highlight this year.  On October 4, the District will hold a grand opening ceremony for their new synthetic turf field.  Appel Osborne had the privilege of working with the District to design a unique, two-toned blue synthetic turf field.  A community vote led to the decision to do a blue field in lieu of the traditional green turf.  The football team is excited to host their opponents on their new field, and other sports and physical education classes will benefit from being able to use the field during rainy seasons that leave natural turf unusable.  Congratulations to Alden CSD on the completion of their new field and for stepping outside the box to set yourself apart from the crowd!
